For the second year in a row, the NAR and the Women's Council of REALTORS® have committed to investing in local initiatives that promote the role of women in real estate.
We are happy to announce that the Johnston County Association of REALTORS®, one of our local associations, was one of the 2020 recipients of the "Supporting Women of Real Estate" grant. Grants were awarded in increments of $5,000 and $2,500 to seven associations. JCAR was one of only 3 associations across the nation to receive the $5,000 grant.
Funding from this grant allows JCAR to bring a local conference to our realtor members which will be centered on women in real estate. The three main topics surrounding the event will be success, balance, and empowerment.
The events will include three influential women speakers including Emmy Award-winning and inspirational speaker, Tracy Wilson; local, certified John Maxwell trainer and coach, Melissa Overton; and successful Realtor®, innovative CEO and bestselling author, Leigh Brown.
Coldwell Banker Advantage is proud to recognize Cindy Johnson-Brown, one of our agents in the Clayton office as the serving president at JCAR.
"Through this conference, our goal is to promote and establish a local networking affiliation with the Women's Council of Realtors which we plan to bring into JCAR now and continue for years ahead.” Said Cindy Johnson-Brown, 2020 President of the Johnston County Association of REALTORS®. “We believe that a program of this capacity will be an opportunity to create business leaders in our communities as it will provide resources centered to help women become more successful in the industry while learning how to balance professional life and personal life.
